In season three episode four of Euphoria, Rue has yet another bad day at work. A three-way argument erupts between Rue, Alamo and Rosalía’s character Magick. Magick shouts a lot in Spanish, but HBO doesn’t provide any subtitles. So, here’s a breakdown of which Spanish insults Magick yells at Rue in Euphoria. You’re welcome. When Magick storms into Alamo’s office, we hear her begin: “La tipa esta…” She’s just starting her rant with “this girl…”. “Tipa” is a slightly derogatory word. Later on in the Euphoria episode, Magick and Rue have that full-blown screaming match in Alamo’s office. Rue calls Magick a “Spanish hood rat”. Charming. She responds: “¿Qué hablas? ¿Hood rat de qué?” HBO translates Magick as saying: “What are you talking about? Hood rat of what?” Well, she’s not entirely wrong(Image via HBO) Magick calls Rue “pedazo puta”, which is equivalent to “f**king wh*re”. Then, Magick shouts: “Que te calles la puta boca ya. Que como sigas hablando mierda, te cojo y te rajo, hija de puta!” In English, that means: “Shut your f**king mouth right now. If you keep talking sh*t, I’ll grab you and slash you open, you b*tch.” I’m scared. View this post on Instagram A post shared by HBO Max (@hbomax) Next up, Rue accuses Magick of being a liar. Magick asks her what she’s talking about again. She also throws in the classic Spanish insult, “Me cago en tus muertos!” This literally means, “I defecate on your dead people.” The idea is that the insulter is sh*tting on the graves of the insulted person’s ancestors. When the camera cuts away to the robbers, Magick is just repeating the earlier insults. She calls Rue a wh*re again, and tells her to shut up a few more times (for good measure).
