The Ted Lasso season 4 finale is just around the corner, and the cast have revealed it will be an epic ride, while sharing a cryptic tease about the ending of episode 10. A lot went down in last week’s episode, including the tragic death of our beloved Mae Green (Annette Badland). But as one life ends, another begins, with the Apple TV series revealing that Keeley (Juno Temple) and Roy (Brett Goldstein) are going to have a baby! And let’s not forget the Lady Greyhounds, who bagged a much-needed victory for Richmond, earning their promotion to the top division. In short, there’s a lot to follow up on in season 4 episode 10, so here are all the details you need to know. The Ted Lasso cast tease an ‘epic’ season 4 finale While Apple TV is keeping pretty tight-lipped about what we can expect from the finale – the synopsis simply reads “Season finale. Big changes in bunches” – the cast have dropped a few intriguing hints about how it will end. Sharkey admitted she didn’t “know the answer to that question,” while Hayes teased, “You will have to watch and find out.” “I think it’s for audiences to decide,” she added, describing the episode as “a beautiful culmination of all this season.” And that’s not the only slightly cryptic thing the cast have said about the ending. Abbie Hern, who plays Gemma, told Decider that the finale feels less like everything wrapping up and more like something new is about to start. “Watching it, to me, weirdly felt like the beginning of an ending, more so than the beginning of this season, it feels like a beginning,” she explained. “I can’t say anything more than that.” Whether that means season 4 will end by promising new beginnings for the characters or that there’s more to come is yet to be seen. Ted Lasso season 5 hasn’t been given the greenlight just yet, but the outlook is good, so maybe it will be the latter. Ted Lasso season 4 episode 10 release date and time Credit: Apple TV Technically, the Ted Lasso season 4 finale drops on Apple TV on Wednesday, October 7. But due to the time difference, US viewers will actually be able to watch episode 10 on Tuesday night. Apple TV releases new episodes of Ted Lasso simultaneously around the world, meaning the date differs depending on where you’re watching from. The finale will arrive at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on Tuesday, October 6 in the US, which translates to 2am BST on Wednesday in the UK. We’ve listed several timezones below so you know when to tune in: 6pm PT (Pacific Time, Tuesday) 8pm CT (Central Time, Tuesday) 9pm ET (Eastern Time, Tuesday) 2am BST (UK Time, Wednesday) 3am CEST (Central European Summer Time, Wednesday) 6.30am IST (India Standard Time, Wednesday) 10am JST (Japan Standard Time, Wednesday) 12pm AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time, Wednesday) 2pm NZDT (New Zealand Daylight Time, Wednesday) The finale runtime is also a bonus Credit: Apple TV Although it doesn’t quite match season 3’s epic 75-minute runtime, the finale is the longest episode of Ted Lasso season 4, clocking in at 55 minutes. Interestingly, there’s currently some confusion over the title. Apple TV lists episode 10 as ‘Being Alive’, while Apple’s own press site calls it ‘The Departing Lass’. Both listings use the same synopsis and October 7 release date. One fan theorised that ‘Being Alive’ could be a reference to the song of the same name from Stephen Sondheim’s musical Company, which sees its protagonist finally open himself up to love and all the pain that comes with it. They suggested this could mirror Ted’s (Jason Sudeikis) own arc this season, potentially ending with him finally allowing himself to pursue a new relationship. But as other Redditors pointed out, there are two titles currently circulating. Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait to find out which is the correct one – and whether Ted will finally find love.
