Credit: Apple TV Zelda has been a bit of a chaos agent throughout Ted Lasso season 4. She’s recently been appointed as a special advisor at AFC Richmond and has already shown that she’s comfortable around wealthy people and influential networks. Her connections and willingness to push Rebecca towards bold decisions have also raised questions about how much influence she actually wants over the club. Things get even more interesting in episode 8, when Richmond’s shareholders begin selling their shares to an unknown third party. Higgins starts investigating who’s behind the purchases, raising concerns that someone could be trying to gain control of the club. Given Zelda’s resources and position at Richmond, it’s understandable why she might be seen as a possible suspect. So, what did Jeremy Swift say about Zelda? Credit: Apple TV In an interview with TVLine, Jeremy Swift, who plays Higgins, revealed whether audiences should be suspicious of Zelda. He said, “Well, they would have a right to be because, you know, can you trust anybody who fires a gun off at a New Year’s Eve party?” He added, “It’s a brilliantly written character, and Tracey, of course, riffs on it. In scenes, she added stuff that was just completely character-appropriate for Zelda.” Swift went on to say, “But she’s got this dynamic that some people have that you meet in life who are like little whirlwinds and shake you up, and they’re successful. So it’s attractive. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to go with it? Are you going to step back and be cautious? That’s the challenge with this character for the other characters in the show, and for the audience.” The mystery surrounding Richmond’s shares has made Zelda a possible suspect. But episode 8 points towards another familiar name. During Higgins’ investigation, he visits the Crown & Anchor, where Mae gives him clues that suggest Rupert is trying to buy back shares in the club. Rupert has a history of using his wealth and influence to cause problems for Rebecca, making him a significant potential threat. But Swift said, “Well, it’s still up for grabs. It seems like that’s the case, but we’re not at 100 per cent.” He also explained, “And, of course, Rupert, as we know in the past, is a character who can wield enormous power and pull the rug from underneath people. They know that he’s kind of Rebecca’s nemesis, literally. So it’s a challenge. It’s a challenge for both of them.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
