In Amazon Prime Video’s Sterling Point, we already know that Annie and Connor’s family history is much more complicated than they were told, and there’s a theory that we might already know their biological parents. The twins were adopted by Steven and Goldie as newborns and grew up believing that Steven and Goldie were their parents. They were also told that their parents couldn’t have biological children, which was why they were adopted. Then Annie arrives in Sterling Point and discovers that Goldie had another biological child, Ramona. Suddenly, everything she thought she knew about her family starts falling apart. And while season one answers the biggest question about Ramona’s dad, there is still one huge mystery surrounding Annie and Connor’s biological parents. So, could Annie and Connor’s biological parents already be in the show? Credit: Amazon Prime Video Well, Sterling Point hasn’t revealed who their biological parents are. What we do know is that Connor secretly contacts the adoption agency. At the end of the season, he gets a call telling him that his and Annie’s birth mother wants to meet them. The season ends before we find out who she is. Now, there’s a theory that their biological parents could be people already connected to Sterling Point, rather than completely new characters introduced in season two. And the show has already shown that its adults are very good at keeping secrets. Goldie hid major parts of her past from her family. Steven also kept Ramona’s existence from Annie and Connor for years and lied to them about how Goldie died. Then there was the whole mess surrounding Joe and Goldie’s relationship. So it wouldn’t be completely out of character for Annie and Connor’s adoption to have another secret attached to it. Denise could be worth watching Credit: Amazon Prime Video One popular theory points towards Denise, Rory’s mother, because she already has connections to Steven and Goldie and knows about their history in Sterling Point. She also seemed particularly close to Steven throughout all the drama surrounding Annie and Ramona. Now, I have a feeling the show could toy with the idea that Denise is Annie and Connor’s biological mother. But I suspect it could ultimately reveal that she isn’t, and that the whole thing was a misunderstanding. Otherwise, Annie and Rory sleeping together would create a very uncomfortable situation if Denise turned out to be Annie and Connor’s biological mother. Of course, there’s currently nothing confirming that Denise is their birth mother, so this is only a theory. Creator Megan Park has already said there is plenty more to explore with the show’s parents and family history. She told Entertainment Weekly, “There’s a lot of mommy and daddy issues being threaded throughout the show. There’s a lot there.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page. Post navigation Next story
