Here’s how old the Sterling Point cast really are compared to their teen characters’ ages

Amazon Prime Video’s Sterling Point has only been available for a matter of days, but my TikTok is already filled with people claiming that the show is even better than Off Campus.

The series follows high school graduate Annie Jacobson and her twin brother Connor, who unexpectedly inherit an entire Canadian island. They spend the summer there meeting new people, uncovering old secrets and, basically, getting themselves caught up in plenty of drama.

But while Annie, Connor and their friends are all around high school age in the show, the actors playing them are a fair bit older in real life. So, here’s how old the Sterling Point cast actually are compared to their characters.

Ella Rubin as Annie

Ella Rubin: 24

Annie Jacobson: 17, turning 18 in episode five

Annie is 17 when Sterling Point begins, which makes sense because she’s a recent high school graduate. She and her twin brother Connor then turn 18 during episode five, when they celebrate their birthday.

Ella Rubin, who plays Annie, is quite a bit older than her character in real life. She was born in September 2001, making her 24. So, Ella is around seven years older than Annie at the start of the series.

Amelie Hoeferle as Ramona

Amelie Hoeferle: 24

Ramona: 17

Ramona is 17 in Sterling Point and is around the same age as Annie. The two also discover that they’re biological sisters, which is obviously one of the show’s biggest revelations.

Interestingly, Amelie Hoeferle is also 24 in real life, so she’s almost exactly the same age as Ella Rubin, who plays Annie. Amelie was born in June 2002, making her 24.

Keen Ruffalo as Connor

Keen Ruffalo: 25

Connor Jacobson: 17, turning 18 in episode five

Connor is Annie’s identical twin brother, so he’s the same age as her in Sterling Point. He’s 17 at the beginning of season one and turns 18 in episode five. Keen Ruffalo, meanwhile, is 25 in real life. And yes, Keen is the son of MCU star Mark Ruffalo. He was born in June 2001, meaning he’s around eight years older than Connor.

Bo Bragason as Oona

Bo Bragason: 22

Oona: About 17

Oona’s exact age isn’t actually confirmed in Sterling Point season one. But she’s been best friends with Ramona since they were children, so it’s safe to assume that she’s around the same age as Ramona. That would put Oona at roughly 17. Bo Bragason, who plays Oona, is 22 in real life. She was born in March 2004.

Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie as Ellis

Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie: 23

Ellis: Around 18

Ellis’ exact age isn’t confirmed in the show either, so this one comes with a bit of a question mark. We can make an estimate, though. Ellis works as a seaplane pilot, and the information available suggests that this would put him at around 18 or older. So, he’s likely around 18, although that isn’t an officially confirmed character age. Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, who plays Ellis, is 23 in real life. He was born in March 2003.

So, Jacob is around five years older than Ellis if the character is around 18.

Daniel Quinn-Toye as Rory

Daniel Quinn-Toye: Unknown

Rory: Around 17 or 18

Rory is one of Annie’s friends from middle school, so he’s presumably around the same age as Annie and Connor. His exact age isn’t revealed in Sterling Point season one, though, so we can only estimate that he’s around 17 or 18. But the Scottish actor’s real age isn’t publicly listed, and he hasn’t revealed his date of birth on his Instagram either.

Nikko Angelo Hinayo as Sully

Nikko Angelo Hinayo: Unknown

Sully: Around 17 or 18

Sully is another character whose exact age isn’t confirmed in season one. He’s part of the same group of friends as Annie and the others, so it’s reasonable to assume he’s around 17 or 18. And when it comes to Nikko Angelo Hinayo’s real age, there’s no confirmed information available either. Nikko is active on Instagram, but there isn’t enough reliable information to establish his date of birth or exact age.

Mabel Strachan as Maple

Mabel Strachan: Unknown

Maple: 12

Maple is Oona’s younger sister and one of the youngest characters in Sterling Point.

Unlike some of the older characters, we actually know exactly how old Maple is. In episode one, Oona confirms that her younger sister is 12. But Mabel Strachan’s real-life age hasn’t been publicly confirmed. There’s no reliable information available about her date of birth, so we can’t accurately work out how old she is without simply guessing.
