Right, here’s whether Bill Skarsgard actually wore a prosthetic for *that* Nosferatu scene

I won’t lie, everything about Nosferatu has me in a chokehold, including *that* one scene where we finally see Bill Skarsgard as Count Orlok and safe to say possibly see more than we were expecting…

I am of course talking about his penis being briefly on show, and whilst I was fully expecting Nosferatu to deliver on the gothic vibes, the quick pop up of penis from Bill Skarsgard was not on my bingo card. But let’s be honest, there’s one question we all desperately want to know about the moment.


Which is, obviously, whether or not he was wearing a prosthetic during the scene or if you just caught a glimpse of the real thing. Well, I can confirm that what you saw was in fact a prosthetic and is actually now framed on the wall of Nicholas Hoult’s house. Yeah, so let’s get into all that.

Nicholas revealed he was gifted the prosthetic penis by the film’s director, Robert Eggers, after a particularly hilariously award scene between the pair of them.


He revealed: “I have Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis framed at home.

“There’s a scene where Bill Skasrgard is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked afterwards, ‘How was that for you? ‘ And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg’. And then, as a wrap gift, Rob got it framed, and he sent it to my house.”

That has to be one of the most rogue wrap gifts to date.

He added that when the frame first arrived it ended up breaking, so he went to get it fixed, commenting that the employee “didn’t even blink the first time.” Just a standard day in life.

The employee then asked him whether the penis was a “collector’s piece?” to which he replied: “Hm, you could say that.”

So whilst we finally know the answer to that, there are a lot of celebs who have proudly bared all and revealed they didn’t wear a prosthetic for their spicy scenes… I’ll leave you to it!
