Here’s why Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt is getting loads of backlash recently
I did not expect to see this while scrolling TikTok
Whitney Leavitt has come under major backlash recently, with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives viewers claiming she’s “left a bad taste in their mouth” after a recent advert. It turns out she’s the main star in a WeightWatchers ad, and people aren’t happy about it.
She’s been working with the weight loss brand for months, but in recent weeks, it was rediscovered that Whitney often works with them by featuring in a TikTok and Instagram ad. Basically, in the last week, Whitney appeared on a new advert on socials.

This is why Whitney has been getting so much backlash recently, despite selling out a Chicago Broadway show and appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Someone wrote: “I am a Whit STAN but this left a bad taste in my mouth. WW has been so predatory to so many people.”
Another person said: “Love Whitney but at the end of the day, she’s still an influencer. She cares more about getting her bag than morals,” while one person wrote: “I don’t think partnering with WW makes her a bad person or lacking morals.”

Whitney has been really open about her health journey, revealing she’s used the WeightWatchers app to maintain her balanced lifestyle since having a third baby. The ad shows her making a salad with her husband, Connor Leavitt, in the kitchen, smiling.
She previously revealed she lost 20lbs using a GLP-1 medication, but later stopped due to severe side effects, such as diarrhoea and nausea, and is now focusing on counting macros, such as her protein, carbs, and fats, for sustainable weight loss.
In June 2025, Leavitt appeared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. She said: “After my second [child], I did Ozempic. But I’m not doing Ozempic this time… They don’t believe me, ‘I’m like, you guys I promise you, I’m counting macros this time.'”
