So, what exactly did Austin Shepard post to make people want him axed from Love Island USA?
There's a lot of reposting going on
Love Island USA kicked off quite literally this summer. Season seven saw one contestant booted out of the villa early doors, and now controversy surrounds another. People are kind of loving to hate Austin Shepard. Although some folks are mad at themselves for potentially changing their mind about him as the episodes roll on?! So, what exactly did Austin Shepard say to make people want him axed from Love Island USA? Let’s get into it.
Love Island USA’s Austin Shepard: Controversy explained

This Love Island USA season has already seen one Islander kicked off the show due to controversy.
Yulissa Escobar was suddenly removed from the villa before things really got started, and now more controversy surrounds Austin.
Naturally, whenever people get to meet new Love Island USA stars, they scope out their socials. But some of Austin’s reposts really haven’t gone down well.
He was found to have reshared some controversial political views and appeared to support US President Donald Trump.
One of the posts included someone wearing a MAGA hat.
A video reposted by a TikTok account allegedly run by Austin said: “Anybody bringing up Project 2025, not Agenda47, is seeking a reason to argue and be combative. Black people, please stop falling for the same trick time and time again by liberals and the democrat party.”
Austin is resharing and reposting a whole lot
@sidestrokeshep
When it comes to exactly what Austin has said himself, he hasn’t voiced things directly.
The TikTok account believed to belong to him has reposted several political videos that support President Donald Trump.
The TikTok page, @scottdisickstan12, includes the information in its bio: “26, All-star, SNAP ashepard33.”
It has over 20k followers and over 420k likes.
Not only do the videos support Trump, but they also oppose Kamala Harris, which really seems to be what’s riling people up. One video shows a Black man “destroying a Black woman who said she’s voting for Kamala.”
The account also reposted a video from Daily Mail about Trump calling for criminalisation of gender changes on children, as well as the president criticising former president Joe Biden.
Austin has not personally shared any views. But the account linked to him has been seen resharing other people’s videos which seems to have caused the controversy.
