Marshall Glaze just revealed he went through a seriously dark time after Love Is Blind
He questioned whether life was worth living
Everyone remembers Love Is Blind‘s Marshall Glaze. He was a stand-out participant in season four, mainly due to being in the midst of a love triangle with Jackelina Bonds and Josh Demas. Marshall left the experiment without a partner, which is what everyone on the Netflix show is looking for. He went on to work with various big brands since his reality TV fame, like Virgin and Instacart. But now he’s opening up about a “dark” time in his life that left him contemplating whether it was worth living.

Marshall Glaze opened up about his mental health
Post reality TV fame, Marshall Glaze is opening up about a really difficult time in his life.
He appeared on Love Is Blind season four, which aired back in 2023.
Now, he’s just starred on What’s the Reality? which is hosted by a fellow Love Is Blind star, Amber Desiree ‘AD’ Smith.
Speaking on the show, Marshall said he’s “single and focusing on himself” and that the show taught him a lot about what he doesn’t want, as well as himself.
He also previously appeared on another podcast and spoke about some of his battles with mental health.
AD said his appearance on Gents Talk “wasn’t the easiest watch,” and delved into Marshall’s personal experiences.
Love Is Blind’s Marshall contemplated suicide
Love Is Blind’s Marshall explained that “last year was very tough for him, mentally.”
He added details of contemplating suicide, telling AD: “I was going to take my own life.”
Marshall continued: “It just got to a point where… I had always been morbidly curious… but never thought about how to do it.”
“One day, I’m just down in the dumps, just crazy depressed…” Marshall continued.
He said it felt like “nothing was going right” in his life, detailing having “dark inner voices” that “got a little bit louder.”
Marshall explained how he went through the experience of “having no favourite movie, meal, or song…” at the time.
He then recalled a moment when he spoke to his mother and said he felt “OK” with it being the last time he’d talk to her.
“I talk to my mom every day, multiple times a day, and I was OK with that being the last time… I was going to do what I felt I had to do, and I couldn’t…”
In that moment, he said he had to “remove himself” from his environment in Seattle.
Marshall went on to explain how a turning point came for him. He said it was “peak rainy season” and he “walked around the Space Needle” back to his apartment, and he thought to himself: “I wanna live.”
AD said: “I’m happy you took that walk.”
And Marshall replied: “Thank you, I’m glad I’m here.”
