Madison from Love on the Spectrum has just revealed the REAL reason she sits on her knees
She says people 'rarely catch her not sitting on her knees'
Madison from Love on the Spectrum has revealed she is often sat on her knees. Those confessionals for the latest Netflix season? Likely sat on her knees. She’s always been really open on social media, whether she’s revealing where she stands with Tyler, who she met on the show, or talking about her experience as an autistic person, including why she sits in a certain way.
Love on the Spectrum’s Madison reveals why she sits on her knees
While watching TV, eating a snack and drinking a Diet Coke, Madison was asked why she always sits on her knees. She says people will “rarely catch her not sitting on her knees,” and told cameras: “It is a stim of mine due to my autism and most people on the spectrum stim as a way to calm their bodies down when they’re overstimulated. And for me, sitting on my knees feels good.”
She added, after pausing her singsong with the remote, “Whereas to a neurotypical person, it does not feel good. People on the autism spectrum have different nerve impulses than what a neurotypical person has.” Then after giving an explanation, Madison happily went back to singing along to a tune playing on her television.
She recently shared more about her comforts
It’s not just sitting on her knees you’ll often see Madison doing. She loves her dolls, and often treats them like her friends. During a recent interview with Fox News, she told a Love on the Spectrum viewer in her social media comments, “Brought set of 3” Princess figurines in backpack with fidgets. No need to carry around big dolls anymore.”
Another passion of Madison’s is making jewellery, which has turned into a business she makes for her fans, and is often featured on her own wrists and neck. Most of her jewellery pieces are floral. She even launched merchandise recently – and it’s so cute! The majority of Madison’s merch is cowboy-themed, and looks fabulous.
