So, let’s have a look at various couples from Love Is Blind USA, Habibi and even Sweden who have all sadly split just four months into the year.
Mena and Maria
Mena and Maria from Love Is Blind Sweden revealed their decision to divorce and split after over two years of marriage.
They both shared a statement to their Instagram Stories, but have left up the loved-up pictures and videos of them from weeks ago.
They wrote: “We’re dealing with this phase with respect and peace. We have always made a point of being very honest with you, and for that reason, we have received in so many messages in the last few days.”
They added: At this time, we are no longer together as a couple. We know every relationship goes through challenges, and therefore, we ask that this love and care that we have always had continue, just as we are dealing with this phase: with respect and peace.
“Life goes on, with its routine and commitments, but we just want to thank and reassure each one of you who have always supported us and given us genuine love.”
Ashley and Tyler
Yes, somehow these two divorced at the start of the year, despite it feeling like more than a lifetime ago.
Ashley told PEOPLE in a statement: “After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”
She continued: “This was not a decision I made lightly, but one I know is necessary for my own growth and peace,” she adds. “While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared.
“I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
Mark and Aubrey
Love Is Blind season one stars Mark Cuevas and his wife, Aubrey Rainey, announced their split after three years of marriage.
The announcement was made by Mark on his Instagram, in a statement that seemingly blindsided his wife.
He wrote: “After a lot of thought and conversations, Aubrey and I decided to part ways a few weeks ago.
“This wasn’t an easy decision, but we both believe it’s the best path forward for our individual growth and for our family.”
He continued: “Our top priority will always be our boys. We’re committed to coparenting with love, respect and teamwork so that they feel supported and secure every step of the way.”
He added: As we begin this new chapter, we kindly ask for your understanding and privacy, especially for the sake of our children. We truly appreciate your support and respect during this time.”
And while the statement was finished with both of their names, it seems it took Aubrey by surprise, as she commented under the post that the whole thing was “news to me.”
Dounia Al Ibrahim and Chafic Yactine
The pair met during Love Is Blind Habibi, but decided to end their engagement at the last minute on the show.
After Love Is Blind Habibi finished filming, Dounia and Chafic actually ended up seeing each other again, with the pair eventually getting engaged last November.
There have been months of speculation that all was not well between the cast members, as neither of them had posted with each other in a while, but they’ve finally confirmed they’re no longer together.
Dounia explained: “Today, we want to announce the end of our love story together. As we always say, we plan but God decides.”
She continued: “Chafic will forever remain a special person in my heart, and we thank you for supporting [us as a] couple and for the memories we’ve created together.
“We ask you to please respect our decision and understand that this isn’t the easiest period for us to go through. But when God decides, we cannot do anything about it.”
She added: “We will continue to spread love separately forever.”
