Love on the Spectrum’s Connor opens up about his biological dad
During an episode of Car Rides with Connor, the Love on the Spectrum star shares some new information about his biological dad this April.
Connor clarifies to his mum: “I’m from dad’s loins, your womb, respect semantics.”
He goes on to say: “And for those of you on social media who are wondering, no, my father is not dead. No, Tony is not my father, and no, he is not a deadbeat.”
Lise, Connor’s mom, confirms: “Not at all. You could never say that about your dad, ever.”
She adds how he “has a great dad,” and the two have a “good relationship.”
What happened with Connor’s dad?
Connor’s parents got divorced when he was around seven years old.
He and his siblings take their hats off to their mom, Lise, who went through a period of being a single mom of four for a while.
She went on to meet their stepfather, Tony, who we all get to meet in Love on the Spectrum season three.
Because of Connor’s biological dad’s absence from the show, people have been wondering what happened to him.
But, it turns out he and Connor have a great relationship and hang out every other weekend. It’s just that he’s not in the Netflix series.
Speaking on the Forever Forward Pod, Connor and his mom said his dad did film Love on the Spectrum scenes in season two, but they didn’t make it into the final edit.
Connor explained: “Last season I was filmed in a park talking to my dad, we were just walking around and, well, that scene never made it into the final cut…”
Giving fans, followers and viewers some “clarification,” Connor also said how Tony, his stepdad, “is a good man and a great guy,” and his biological dad is “very much alive.”
He said he moved from the UK to the USA in 1997 to marry Lise: “You’re from New England, and dad’s from old England.”
