
Georgie emotionally opens up about real-life struggles with autism after Love on the Spectrum

It’s Autism Awareness Month this April, and Georgie from Love on the Spectrum is sharing her experiences with the world. The Netflix star is taking the opportunity to educate her followers on what life can be like for some people who have autism. During season three, people see Georgie literally light up Connor’s life, but she explains how things aren’t always super positive.

This April, Love on the Spectrum season three’s Georgie takes to Instagram to open up about her autism.
She shares a screenshot of someone’s comment on one of her posts, as well as her reply.
The person told Georgie she was “an angel” and added how they think she’s an “incredible human,” who is also “so well balanced.”
Georgie responded with her reality, explaining how she’s not always super positive.
She wrote: “I will be honest, I have some days that are dark, but I try to keep the light shining.”

In the post’s caption, Georgie also mentioned how it’s Autism Month and shared a fact with her followers.
“People with autism may have trouble expressing or understanding their feelings which can end up with them shutting down…” she explained.
The Netflix star continued: “When we shut down, we end up not hearing what people have to say, and it takes a while for our brain to recalibrate to function what people are saying.”
She explained to her fans how she wanted to post the comment as a photo to show people her honest reality.
Georgie wrote: “l know even I have my dark days where I shut down.”
Since posting her honest take, Georgie has been sharing snaps of how she’s been out and about with her dog, and people are adoring her sense of humor and personality as they get to know her even more!
