Omg, the reality of what happened to Dani’s parents from Love on the Spectrum is so sad
She's worked through so much
Dani Bowman has been a cast member on Love on the Spectrum since the show first kicked off three years ago. As people are getting stuck into the show’s third season this Spring, some are really wondering what happened to Dani’s parents. It seems the Love on the Spectrum participant didn’t have the easiest start in life.

What happened to Dani’s parents from Love on the Spectrum?
Dani is back for a third Love on the Spectrum, and people are still asking questions about her family.
The animation pro was raised by her aunt and uncle, which naturally poses the question, where are her mom and dad?!
Before we dig into Dani’s family life, it’s clear to see she has a strong bond with her supportive family seen on the show. Her aunt Sandra Vielma and uncle Patrick Eidemiller have attended awards ceremonies with her, and she praises them for her upbringing.
Dani doesn’t live with her mom, Myrna Vielma, and dad, Robert Bowman, reports Distractify.
She explained in season two that she used to live with them but then ended up living with her aunt and uncle. Dani didn’t go into exactly why she didn’t continue living with her parents, but they did get divorced in 2010, per public records, which could have had an effect on their living scenario.

Dani opened up about her dad
While snaps of Dani and her mom can be found on her Facebook page, the same can’t be said of her dad.
The Love on the Spectrum star sheds some light on what happened with her parents in an old social media post.
Dani wrote in 2015: “It’s never too late. It can help get you ‘help services’. I really wish my own father would have gotten a diagnosis, but he is now lost among the homeless. I really think and worry about him especially during this time of year. That is why once again this year, I will be out feeding the homeless this Christmas. If only he had gotten help.”
She also wrote an open letter to both of her parents in 2016.
Dani penned:
“If I could send a letter back in time to my parents, when they first realized I was different.
Dear mom and dad, Don’t see me through my deficits, see me through my strength first! If you do that, everything else will eventually work itself out. You will see, some day you will stop being scared and start to be proud of me. Not because of why I can’t do this or that, but because of what I can do.
“Despite of my diagnosis. I can’t imagine the disappointment, and/or the terror that you must of felt when I was first diagnosed or when you first realize I was different. I wish I could go back in time and comfort you. Don’t be ashamed or hide me from the world. The way I see it, I’m just fine.”
She continues: “You see, I don’t know any different. The only sadness I feel is when I see you are sad because of me. I wish I can tell you I will be just fine. Just love me for who I am no matter the reason I am this way.
“I will always try and be all I can be. And that is all I can do. Just love me the way I am. Yours Truly, Dani Bowman.”

Dani’s aunt and uncle are super supportive
Despite Dani’s family scenario having some super sad aspects, she’s doing really well for herself and has the support of her aunt and uncle in life.
Three years ago, Dani said in an interview with Fails, Falls & F-Ups Show that her aunt and uncle noticed her talent for animation at the age of 11.
Speaking to Bruce Nachsin, Dani explained how they helped her get her animation company off the ground at the age of 14.
