Love Is Blind’s AD and Ollie announced an unexpected engagement – here’s everything we know
She found true love in the end
AD and Ollie from Love Is Blind have just announced an unexpected engagement! We’ll all remember when AD’s ex, Clay Gravesande, said no to her at the altar, leaving her heartbroken on the show. But it was all meant to be, because she later ended up meeting the UK show’s Ollie, and has now revealed he’s officially put a ring on her finger.
AD and Ollie announced an engagement
AD, who appeared on season six on Love Is Blind, and Ollie Sutherland, who starred as a Love Is Blind UK season 1 star, have announced an engagement, which took place on Love Is Blind’s season eight reunion of all places. The two first sparked romance rumors after being spotted at an intimate dinner together in Mexico, but never confirmed speculation until March 9.
Fast-forward to now and the couple are officially engaged! She said she was “so surprised” by the proposal, which Ollie admitted he had been planning “for months.” They credited their time on Love Is Blind for helping them build a strong foundation in their relationship. Ollie said they realized they had “shared values and similar outlooks on life,” while AD pointed out they had “super intentional conversations.”
They first met on Perfect Match
AD and Ollie first met on Perfect Match season three. The season is set to air in summer 2025, but Netflix teased us with a video showed Ollie leading AD to another section of the beach and surprising her with the romantic proposal on the Love Is Blind season eight reunion. He told her while on one knee, “You’re my best friend, you’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy as I have since I’ve met you.”
He added, “Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life loving you.” Ollie then popped the question as AD squealed and said “yes” before sharing a kiss with her new fiancé. The two are now happily enjoying their engagement, and although it didn’t work out for their first relationships on Love Is Blind, they have Netflix to thank for bringing them together!
What happened between AD and Clay?
AD and Clay first met in the Love Is Blind pods. While most of their relationship has been smooth-sailing, they didn’t end up getting married at the altar. Clay said I don’t instead, telling AD that it wouldn’t be “responsible” of him to get married knowing he wasn’t ready, but she was left utterly heartbroken.
She explained at the season 6 reunion in March 2024 that she wouldn’t have changed a thing despite being left heartbroken. “I don’t regret saying yes to him,” she said. “My love is blind. There’s nothing that he could’ve shown me, told me, that would’ve changed my answer. You had your chance, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t have given you, there’s nothing I wouldn’t have done for you.”
“And low key, respectfully, you played in my face, because you knew that you didn’t want to get married,” AD continued to tell Clay. Ollie, on the other hand, got engaged to Demi Brown after meeting her in the pods, but it was confirmed they were broken up for good at the UK show’s reunion.
