Kylie Jenner has pretty much been by Timothée Chalamet’s side throughout awards season. These days, they’re shying away from the cameras a lot less. Despite breaking new ground with their adorable moments as a couple and plentiful PDA, the two weren’t seen hand-in-hand at the SAG Awards this February. People might be confused why Timmy didn’t bring Kylie along as his date. The reported reason she wasn’t there is actually really sad.

Sunday, February 23 saw the SAG Awards 2025 get underway. The night marks a major moment in Timothée’s career as he took home an award for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
Timothée had his shining moment on stage, accepting his award, and explaining how he’d put five and a half years of his life into the role.
But, unfortunately, his other half wasn’t in attendance to support him.
Timmy brought along his mom as his date instead of Kylie.
While other celebs like Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater weren’t holding back on the PDA at the event, other people brought along their family members as their dates like Timothée.
Jodie Foster’s date for the awards was her son, Charlie.
The reason Kylie didn’t attend the awards
Although it could look like something is up with Timothée and Kylie because of her absence from the SAG Awards, it turns out the reported reason she didn’t go is unrelated to their relationship.
Rumours are often swirling about the pair being ‘on and off’. But, they’re likely still firmly together despite Timmy’s mom taking Kylie’s place.
Kylie is reportedly in a period of mourning and is “grief-stricken” after the passing of a hairstylist very close to her family, per The Daily Mail.
Jesus Guerrero was not only Kylie’s hairstylist but “a longtime friend” who died “suddenly and unexpectedly” at 34.
His untimely death was confirmed on February 22. In an Instagram post from January, he refers to Kylie as his “main girly,” per The Mirror.
Jesus’ younger sister has set up a GoFundMe in his name following his oassing. She describes him as a “Cherished Son, brother, friend, artist.”
