After that brutal ending of American Horror Story: 13, episode 6, everyone wants to know if Sarah Paulson’s Cordelia Goode is actually dead, and Seth Gabel, who plays Jeffrey Dahmer, has confirmed her fate. The latest AHS episode, The Return of Devil’s Night, brought the show’s serial killers back together as James Patrick March continued his plan to take control of Earth with the help of some very familiar faces. That included Jeffrey Dahmer, played by Seth Gabel, alongside Richard Ramirez and the Zodiac Killer. But this time, the serial killers weren’t just having another dinner party. They were going after the witches from Coven. The episode ends with March attacking Cordelia, and it looks very much like she’s been killed. He throws an axe at her head before the serial killers begin invading the coven. So, is Cordelia really dead? Credit: FX Seth Gabel, who returns as Dahmer in season 13, told The Hollywood Reporter, “Cordelia could be dead.” He then pointed out that the witches have powers of their own, adding, “We do see that there are witches who have all kinds of powers, so we’ll have to see who’s good at what.” Gabel also explained why he thinks March was able to catch Cordelia off guard in the first place. “She seems to be not on her A-game,” he said. “You see her turn and run, and it’s like, why would she turn and run? Of course he’s going to do something to her.” He continued, “I’m surprised she let her guard down like that. But she’s definitely off her A-game. You see for a couple episodes that she’s feeling like something is off, and it’s really disorienting her, so I think we see her make a mistake in that moment and March takes advantage of it.” So, what happens next? Credit: FX The good news is that we don’t have to wait too long to see what happens. Episode 7 will pick up directly after the cliffhanger, and Gabel has teased that things get seriously chaotic. When asked about the next episode, he said, “Seven gets really explosive.” He also revealed that the battle between the serial killers and the witches gets much bigger. “It’s explosive. It’s messy. And it’s extremely elemental, because all the spells come out, and all the spells are meeting guns, knives, drills, every kind of weapon conceivable,” Gabel explained. “So you’re truly seeing a mash-up of all the elements,” he added. Gabel also explained what is actually happening with March and his group. He said, “There’s this war for control of Earth; hell is kind of rising and coming into this reality, and March has manipulated all the killers into joining this mission so they can be the ones who are in control and taking over. The witches stand in the way of that, they have to stop them.” Whether Cordelia survives or not, we’ll just have to wait and see.
