Ashley Zukerman has teased what’s next for Daniel/ Troy and Helen in Silo season four and has said that everything we want answered after season three will finally be revealed. The biggest question is probably Daniel Keene. Ashley Zukerman’s character was revealed to be Troy, the mysterious figure we had already seen in the silo’s future. And, as it turns out, Daniel has been cryogenically frozen and brought back across centuries. So, what has Ashley Zukerman said about Silo season four? In an interview with SYFY Wire, Zukerman said “Everything that you want to get answered, gets answered.” Zukerman described the final season as being “so much more complicated than you could have imagined” and called it “a very profound season”. He also said that he initially thought Daniel’s story might be over. “I read the first nine [episodes] and then read 10 thinking, ‘Well, I guess I won’t be in it,’” he said. “It was just a couple of weeks before starting, and it was a little bit of a surprise.” So, what’ll happen to Daniel and Troy in Silo season four? Credit: Apple TV Season three established that Daniel and Troy are the same person, with Daniel’s memories repeatedly erased after being cryogenically frozen. His identity as Troy is therefore part of a much bigger system involving Silo 1 and the people controlling the other silos. The finale also leaves Daniel’s connection to Juliette in a very different place. Graham Yost has already described season four. He said, “It’s war.” The showrunner said that Juliette’s journey is now leading directly towards Silo 1. He said she has gone from not knowing who she was to declaring, “[We] have to take on Silo 1.” And that puts her on a collision course with Daniel/Troy. Zukerman, meanwhile, knows exactly what is coming but is not giving away the ending. “I don’t think anyone wants me to say anything,” he said. Fair enough. Also, before the season three finale aired, people had plenty of theories about where Daniel’s story was heading. Apparently, most of them missed the mark. “I have been so happy how wrong everyone has been,” Zukerman said. “No one seeing this coming has been a real joy.” And what will happen with Silo 1? The season three finale revealed that Silo 1 is at the centre of the system, with people from the past being cryogenically frozen and awakened over time to control the other silos. Yost said that season four will show us more of how Silo 1 actually works. He also teased that “certain characters we’ve spent some time with really move up into the fore”. That includes Rosalind Thurman, her daughter Anna, Henry and Charlotte, who is known as Susan after her memories are erased. So, season four will not just be about Juliette trying to take on Silo 1. We should also get much more of the people who have been behind the system. What about Helen and Daniel? Credit: Apple TV Yost has confirmed that season four will reveal what happened to Helen Drew, Daniel’s partner in the earlier timeline. “The biggest thing is you will find out what happened to Helen,” he told Mashable. Jessica Henwick is also returning for season four. And considering Daniel’s memories of Helen are beginning to return, her fate could become a major part of the final season. There are still plenty of pieces connecting the past to the present, including the objects and memories that eventually become part of life inside the silos. Will Silo season four follow the books? Zukerman actually chose not to read the books while making the series because he did not want the two versions of the story influencing each other. “It’s a shame, because I would have loved the books,” he said. “But the two universes couldn’t exist in my head at the same time.” He also said, “It absolutely sticks close to the books in terms of like the themes and the story and what we’re trying to tell. But the way it unfolds is very different.” Silo has already been renewed for a fourth and final season, and the season has already been filmed. Apple has set it for summer 2027.
