All American season eight will also be the last, so here’s when to expect it on Netflix

It’s the end of an era: All American season eight will also be its last. With the first two episodes out now, you’ll no doubt be wondering when the eighth chapter will be dropping on Netflix. 

Inspired by the real-life story of former NFL linebacker Spencer Paysinger, All American follows talented football player Spencer James after he’s recruited from South Los Angeles to play for an elite high school in Beverly Hills. 

Across its first six seasons, the sports drama explored everything from rivalries and romance to grief and family, becoming one of The CW’s biggest success stories after finding a huge audience on Netflix.

But ahead of season seven, the series underwent a major shake-up as lead Daniel Ezra, alongside several other longtime cast members, stepped back as series regulars.

Although the creative change divided fans, it paved the way for a new generation of characters and their actors to take the lead. 

Earlier this year, The CW announced that season eight would also be the last. Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll said in a statement (via TVLine), “How do I condense into just a few words what would be the longest love letter to this show, the fans, the cast, crew, staff, and producers?

“My heart is so filled with love and gratitude for everyone who helped bring All American to life and kept it going for its historic run.”

Right now, the 13-episode season is airing on The CW in the US, with the first two episodes landing on Monday, July 13th. It’s now switching to single weekly drops on Mondays at 8pm ET. 

But if you’re one of the fans who watches the whole lot when it drops on Netflix, here’s when to expect it. 

When All American season 8 will drop on Netflix

Although we’re yet to get an official release date, we can expect season eight to land on Netflix on or around October 6th, 2026. 

We know this thanks to previous installments. You see, following the success of All American on Netflix, The CW’s long-running licensing deal has meant new seasons typically arrive on the streamer just eight days after the finale airs. 

This pattern has remained remarkably consistent in recent years. For instance, the season seven finale aired on May 5th, 2025, and landed on Netflix May 13th, 2026. There was a similar gap for seasons five and six. 

And since the season eight finale airs on September 28th, 2026, we’re guessing all episodes will drop on October 6th. This could change, of course, but that’s the best estimate for now.
