Between blockbuster films, TV returns and endless press tours, Zendaya‘s barely had a second to breathe. After one final major release, she’s planning to disappear from the spotlight for a while. Fabrice Chassery/Shutterstock The actor has confirmed she’ll be taking a break from acting and promotional work after an incredibly busy year, which has seen her star in The Drama, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Euphoria season three, with Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three still to come. Speaking during Fandango’s Big Ticket interview, Zendaya admitted she’s looking forward to some downtime. “I hope people don’t get sick of me,” she confessed before adding, while throwing up deuces: “After this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going into hiding for just a little bit.” She added: “I really appreciate anyone who supports any of the movies or supports my career in any kind of way. I’m deeply appreciative.” Zendaya also reflected on just how relentless the past year has been. “This is such a whirlwind, and you’re in a new place every second, and your brain is all over the place. It’s fun, and I’m grateful, and I wouldn’t change a thing… but sometimes you need to disappear for a little bit.” Via Universal She’s not the only one thinking about slowing things down either. Tom Holland recently told British GQ he’s become much more conscious of avoiding burnout, explaining that having the freedom to step away from work is something he doesn’t take for granted. “I feel really blessed to be at a point in my career where I can take time off, reset, and come back ready to go,” he said. The Spider-Man actor added: “You can’t be in every movie, and you can’t do your best work when you’re burnt out. What I’ve learnt is that it’s important to set boundaries — to be mindful about overworking.” The couple, who got engaged back in January, still have two huge films on the way together: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson, as well as Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But once all of that is out of the way, it sounds like they’ll both be taking a breather. Holland even hinted at his own plans, saying: “I’ll probably take a bit more time off in 2027. We’ll see.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page. Featured image credit: Fabrice Chassery/Shutterstock Post navigation Next storyPrevious story
