Fiyero stole everybody’s heart in the Wicked movie – cast and audience. After first winning us over in Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey went on to play his adorably dashing character Fiyero in Wicked, who was gorgeous but didn’t do a lot of thinking. He showed off his extraordinary singing, dancing and acting skills, but the triple threat had one absolutely vital request to make while he was shooting the musical. It was actually a huge Bridgerton easter egg that you might not have noticed at first glance, but once you find out, it will actually warm your heart.

Jonathan Bailey could not film Wicked without bringing his favourite pal along, Jack, who was his horse in Bridgerton. He specifically requested his old friend to join him on set for the musical. Wow, talk about nepotism!

The bond between a man and his horse is like no other, and Jonathan and Jack’s is obviously legendary in this case. In an interview with BBC Newsround, Jonathan explained the story behind his equine friend’s casting.

The two girls interviewing Jonathan asked if he had to learn to ride a horse for the movie, and he explained “the horse that is in the movie, I’ve also worked with before.” He then explained the horse was from Bridgerton, which definitely makes it the most adorable easter egg in the entire film.

“When I was asked to play Fiyero, the first thing I said to the director was ‘I know exactly which horse we need to hire,'” he told the girls.

He laughed that “Jack and I go way back,” and said it was a “pleasure” to be able to work with him again.

“People say ‘don’t work with kids and animals.’ But if it’s Jack, I’d say, ‘take the job. He’s a legend.’” Wow, Jonathan Bailey really can’t sing this horse’s praises enough!
