Following the tragic news that former actress Daveigh Chase had died, people are once again talking about the clip of her with disgraced rapper Diddy. After years living on Skid Row, the largest and most condensed unsheltered homeless population in the US, the Lilo & Stitch voice actress passed away in a hospital earlier this week. Her alleged boyfriend said she’d died from meningitis and a blood infection after being hospitalised for malnutrition. “When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope,” he wrote. Credit: Disney Where’s the clip of Diddy and Daveigh Chase from? On Twitter, the clip seemingly resurfaced after a right-wing influencer, Christina Pushaw, reshared it. It amassed over 3.2 million views and has since been spread to other platforms. In it, Daveigh is seemingly accepting an award from Diddy. “You coming to the afterparty tonight?” Diddy asks in the video, with the child actress responding, “Yeah!” “2003: Diddy invites 12-year-old Daveigh Chase to ‘afterparty’,” the Twitter post was captioned, “Don’t give your kids to Hollywood. RIP.” The tweet alludes to some kind of nefarious deed whilst offering literally no answers about the context of the clip. In light of Daveigh’s passing, it just feels icky. Give the woman some peace. 2003: Diddy invites 12-year-old Daveigh Chase to "afterparty" Don't give your kids to HollywoodRIP 💔 https://t.co/Ibljl3txbG pic.twitter.com/VKpLoJYLma — Christina Pushaw 🐊 🇺🇸 (@ChristinaPushaw) June 18, 2026 In reality, the clip is actually from the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. For her work as the creepy little girl in The Ring, Daveigh was awarded the Best Villain award by Diddy and Ashton Kutcher. “You’re doing great,” Ashton told a nervous Daveigh, who was 12 at the time, in the clip. At the time, there was no outrage about the moment. Obviously, in light of Diddy’s crimes, all of his interactions have been put under a microscope. It doesn’t appear as though Diddy and Daveigh Chase interacted after that night. For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
