Chris Pratt’s ‘f*cked up’ comments about his son with Anna Faris resurface as he walks red carpet

At the Scary Movie 6 premiere this week, lead star Anna Faris walked the red carpet with her 13-year-old son, Jack, whom she shares with her ex Chris Pratt.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris famously wed in 2009, welcoming their son Jack in 2012. Then, after eight years of marriage, they separated in 2017, with their divorce being finalised a year later. Both have since remarried.

Though Jack, now 13, has largely been kept out of the public eye, he walked the red carpet with his mum at Scary Movie 6’s premiere in Los Angeles earlier this week.

“I think as parents, we’re always questioning, you know, ‘What are we doing? Are we giving good guidance? Are we raising kids with a good foundation?’” Anna earlier expressed. “Those indicators make me feel like, ‘Okay, I’m on the right path here.’ And I’m really proud of him.”

Unfortunately, Jack’s rare public apperence reignited the controversy surrounding his dad.

What did Chris Pratt say about him and Anna Faris’ son?

Chris Pratt married Arnie’s daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, in 2019, and their daughter was born in 2021. Marking the occasion, Chris celebrated the birth by praising Katherine for giving him a “healthy” child.

“She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes I put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!” he said.

Though the statement seems innocuous enough, people took the comment as a dig at Anna Faris and their son. You see, Jack was born nine weeks premature, and it left him with serious health complications. He required numerous surgeries, and had complicated heart issues.

Taking to Twitter recently, one person wrote: “Anna Faris proudly showing off her son, unlike her ex-husband who is ashamed of the little one and thanks God for having had other ‘healthy’ children.”

“Look at them so cute and happy and yet that son of a b*tch Chris Pratt publicly thanked his current partner for giving him a HEALTHY son (Jack has medical complications from being a premature baby),” someone else said.

Another added: “I forgot how f*cked up this was.”

Other people supported Chris: “Ok everyone apparently if you ever have a sick child you can’t make generic announcement that everyone makes about having a healthy child.”

Chris Pratt responded to the controversy at the time, branding the backlash “f*cked up.”

Speaking to Men’s Health, he hit back with: “That is f*cked up. My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s 9. And it’s etched in digital stone. It really f–king bothered me, dude. I cried about it.”
