Sam Levinson and the Euphoria writing team didn’t consult Chloe Cherry on the sex work plotline in season three, and she has two words for this: “Thank god.” More of less every woman in Euphoria is doing sex work in season three: Jules is a sugar baby, Cassie and Maddy are making OnlyFans content, and Rue is managing a strip club (and may or may not have helped Alamo with a human trafficking scheme). Prior to joining the HBO show, Faye star Chloe worked in the porn industry, and so you would have assumed that the team would want her expertise to assist with the storytelling. This was something she spoke about while on the press run for the show, with ScreenRant asking her, “So much of Euphoria season three revolves around sex work. Was Chloe Cherry consulted?” Credit: HBO She replied: “No. Nobody consulted me for this because you really don’t have to. There’s so many people that have done so much more sex work and know so much more about it than I do. Like, there’s actual specialists about it. “It’s a huge industry that has people that have been working in it for like 30 years, so there’s really no reason to ask me. So no, Chloe Cherry did not serve as a consultant on sex work. Thank god.” Sex workers are calling out the inaccuracies in Cassie’s OnlyFans storyline But maybe the writing team should have, as real sex workers have been speaking out about their issues with Euphoria’s third chapter. HBO allegedly put in a request to reduce the scene of Cassie dressed as a baby for her OnlyFans to cut back on backlash. pic.twitter.com/N0O4lqYG6z — Euphoria News (@season3euphoria) April 18, 2026 OnlyFans performer Megan Prescott told Mashable that mainstream shows often don’t have real-life sex workers as consultants, saying: “I think there is such a snobbery in the world in general around sex work. “For some reason, we think that they [sex workers] don’t know their own industry better than anyone else.” “We’ve just had someone write a show about their fantasy of a type of sex work, and in doing that, the general public will be like, ‘Oh my god. On OnlyFans, you can dress up as a baby. That’s disgusting,’ which is just not accurate,” Prescott added. The season three episode two scene showing Cassie dressing up as an “adult baby” has faced backlash across the board, with another OnlyFans creator pointing out the inaccuracies. Known online as Em, she wrote, “As insane as this is, what’s even crazier to me is if Sam Levinson actually did any research about OF, he’d know this content violates the TOS and would never have been allowed on the platform. “OF is very strict about the content and words it allows. Anything referencing age play is automatically flagged and banned. He really wrote this in the script for no f**king reason. It’s so gross.” And even Chloe herself has slammed Cassie’s venture into OnlyFans, telling Refinery29 that it’s “weird” so many people think of sex work as “empowering”. @refinery29 Episode 2 of #Euphoria just dropped and @Chloe Cherry weighs in with her take, saying the only reason OF has become more normalized is “because of capitalism and the economy getting worse, it has nothing to do with empowerment or power.” ♬ original sound – Refinery29 “We’ve seen all these news stories where they’re like, ‘Oh, OnlyFans model makes $700billion in a month, and everyone’s like, ‘Whoa.’ I literally just think that these things are a bit of smoke and mirrors,” she explained. Chloe noted that she’s not au fait with the world of OnlyFans and so couldn’t speak on whether it would give Cassie any power. “Obviously Cassie is extremely attractive, so it probably would lead to her making a lot of money,” she continued. “But it just feels crazy as f**k to see somebody living like Cassie turn to sex work. It’s like, holy sh*t, that’s where we’re at in society? I really think that OnlyFans is a crazy, weird phenomenon of the 2020s that we will look back on and be very confused by.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
