Jacob Elordi has sparked drama at the Venice Film Festival after he snapped at an official and it was caught on camera during the world premiere of Frankenstein.

The 28-year-old Euphoria actor attended the screening on Saturday, but a TikTok clip of him arguing with a man described as a “bodyguard” quickly overshadowed the red carpet glam.

In the viral video, Elordi is first seen having a short back-and-forth with the man before declaring: “I’m going to take a picture right here.”

He then leaned into the crowd of people waiting for selfies, but things escalated when he snapped: “Don’t ever tell me what to do!” The official’s response isn’t audible in the clip, leaving people online to speculate about what caused the outburst.

People weren’t impressed, with one person commenting: “I find it to be a little disrespectful towards the old man just trying to do his job.” Others were more forgiving, suggesting he might have just been overwhelmed while balancing fan demands and festival rules.

This isn’t the first time he’s made headlines for snapping at someone. Back in February, he allegedly clashed with a KIIS FM employee outside a Sydney pub after being approached for comment.

The personal drama also follows a string of high-profile relationships. Elordi recently ended his on-off four-year romance with Olivia Jade, the daughter of Lori Loughlin. Before that, he dated Kaia Gerber, daughter of Cindy Crawford, until 2021. Clearly, he loves a nepo-baby.

Inside the premiere, however, it was a completely different story. Following the screening of the film, Elordi was left “visibly emotional” during a 13-minute standing ovation, the longest of the festival so far.

He was filmed wiping away tears and embracing co-star Mia Goth and director Guillermo del Toro, before bowing to the audience.

The Netflix release, which cost a reported $120 million to make, is already being tipped as one of the biggest films of the year. Fans can stream Frankenstein from November 17, 2025.
