George Russell isn’t about to let a little thing like an assassination attempt slide. In The Gilded Age season 4 episode 2, it looks like he’s about to come face-to-face with the man who shot him. If you recall, in the penultimate episode of season 3, George (Morgan Spector) was shot and very nearly killed. Thankfully, Dr. William Kirkland (Jordan Donica) managed to save his life. But the identity of whoever ordered the shooting remained a mystery. In the season 4 premiere, which dropped on HBO last week, the Pinkertons private detectives presented George with sketches of the man they believe is the would-be assassin. He lives with a woman downtown, and while George recognises them, he can’t place them. HBO dropped the ‘Weeks Ahead’ preview, which suggests the next episode will show George finally confronting the gunman. It certainly looks like George shoots him in the trailer, but we’ll have to wait and see whether he does. Either way, the man was no doubt working under the instructions of someone higher up who may see George as a threat. And that’s just one of many problems George is facing. His marriage to Bertha (Carrie Coon) is still hanging by a thread. The latest trailer shows she’s less than impressed to discover he’s been keeping his investigation a secret. With tensions running high in the Russell household, it looks like another dramatic week is in store. So, when exactly does The Gilded Age season 4 episode 2 arrive? The Gilded Age season 4 full release schedule Credit: HBO Thankfully, there’s no complicated release schedule to keep track of. Just like season 3, we’re getting eight episodes, which will air weekly on Sundays. That means the season 4 finale is expected to arrive just before Christmas, on December 20. Here’s the full upcoming schedule: Episode 2 – Sunday, November 8, 2026 Episode 3 – Sunday, November 15, 2026 Episode 4 – Sunday, November 22, 2026 Episode 5 – Sunday, November 29, 2026 Episode 6 – Sunday, December 6, 2026 Episode 7 – Sunday, December 13, 2026 Episode 8 – Sunday, December 20, 2026 All the details for season 4 episode 2 Credit: HBO The second episode is titled ‘You Won’t Hear Me Beg’, and it sounds like there’s plenty more drama ahead for New York’s high society. According to the official synopsis, Bertha returns to a frosty reception at the Russell household, while Peggy’s (Denée Benton) career ambitions clash with the expectations of Newport society. Meanwhile, Agnes (Christine Baranski) reluctantly agrees to an interview. One thing we’re all waiting for is the aftermath of Marian (Louisa Jacobson) and Larry’s (Harry Richardson) night together. Although things initially seemed to be going rather well between the former lovebirds, Marian woke up the following morning in tears. And it’s understandable – due to the expectations placed on women during that era, having sex before marriage could ruin her reputation. The ‘Weeks Ahead’ trailer shows the pair clashing over the double standards faced by men and women in high society. Could this be the end of their romance for good? Probably not, but it’s definitely not back on track. As for the runtime, season 4 episode 2 is approximately 60 minutes. For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
