Marvel’s Latin American arm just dropped a cryptic post for VisionQuest, and while it might just look like a bunch of numbers, some fans think it might be hiding a clue about the Maximoff family.

The first two episodes of VisionQuest dropped last week, following White Vision (Paul Bettany) as he attempts to make sense of his identity after the events of WandaVision.

As for actor Ruaridh Mollica, he takes on the role of Tommy Maximoff in possession of Thomas Shepherd’s body in the Marvel series.

Although it’s highly unlikely Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) will be making an appearance, there have been plenty of hints that Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) will return in VisionQuest after the events of Agatha All Along.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Marvel LATAM took to X to share the following message: “01001000 01100001 01111001 00100000 01101111 01110100 01110010 01101111 01110011 00100000 01001101 01100001 01111000 01101001 01101101 01101111 01100110 01100110 00101110 00100000 01001100 01100001 00100000 01100110 01100001 01101101 01101001 01101100 01101001 01100001 00100000 01001101 01100001 01111000 01101001 01101101 01101111 01100110 01100110 00101110.”

If you’re unfamiliar with binary code, the message reads, “Hay otros Maximoff. La familia Maximoff.” Translated to English, it says, “There are other Maximoffs. The Maximoff family.”

Unsurprisingly, it’s left some fans requesting to see the Scarlet Witch again. “‘There are other Maximoffs. The Maximoff family.’ I ALREADY KNOW, NOW REVIVE HER AND SAY WHERE SHE IS,” said one.

Another shared an image of Wanda and wrote, “GIVE ME WANDA BACK BEFORE I HAVE A BREAKDOWN.” And a third added, “Since there are more, give me a Wanda pls.”

Despite high hopes for her to return, showrunner Terry Matalas has been pretty adamant that she won’t. In an interview with SFX Magazine (via Total Film), he teased a key moment near the end of VisionQuest.

“Paul had an amazing idea for the kind of scene it should be. Who he is within that particular scene is kind of amazing, and that we were able to pull that off,” Matalas said. “I want to make sure that people don’t think I’m teasing Wanda, because I’m not teasing Wanda.”

Others are hoping Wanda will at least be teased in VisionQuest and then confirmed for either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars – but again, this is still just speculation. There’s no confirmation Wanda will be back in the MCU.

When it comes to the binary code message, it’s far more likely that this is referring to Locke’s Billy. Although Marvel hasn’t confirmed his return, the trailers hint at this and Locke attended the VisionQuest premiere.

What’s more, while speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Mollica let slip last week that he and Locke “shot our MCU stuff before” working together on the West End play Clarkston last year.

So when the post says “other Maximoffs”, this could be what the studio is talking about. “I think they’re talking about Billy guyss,” said one fan, while another asked, “Is it Billy trying to reach Vision?”

Or, you know, it could simply be referring to Vision attempting to connect emotionally to the memories of his family. With episode 2 ending on Tommy and Vision reuniting, maybe the message is hinting at the pair rebuilding their relationship.

Thankfully, there’s not long to wait to find out – VisionQuest episodes 3 and 4 land on Disney+ on October 20 in the US and October 21 internationally.
