Netflix has given us a brand new love triangle to obsess over in Crew Girl, as Josh (Samuel Braun) and Cam (Kyle Clark) compete for Teagan’s (Miku Martineau) attention. If you enjoy messy love triangles, YA drama and competitive sports, you’ll want to give Crew Girl a go. The new Netflix series centres on Teagan, whose promising future in the world of high school rowing gets derailed by a family scandal. When she’s forced to relocate to the East Coast with her mum, she discovers the only way to follow her dreams is to join her new school’s boys’ team. Along the way, she finds herself earning the attention of quiet but determined Cam and golden boy Josh. It’s a tale as old as time. As for who gets picked, that’s for you to find out (no spoilers this early in the game). But if you’ve already found yourself firmly on Team Josh, naturally you might be wondering about the actor behind him. So, who is Samuel Braun dating IRL? Samuel – or Sam – Braun is a 23-year-old Canadian actor, and according to his Instagram profile, he appears to be dating actress Shanti Harris. In fact, one of his very first roles was in 2013’s Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, where he played the younger version of Luke Castellan. More recently, you might recognise him from Netflix’s Time Cut alongside Outer Banks’ Madison Bailey and Ginny & Georgia’s Antonia Gentry, as well as appearances in Superman & Lois, The Way Home and Fire Country. He also popped up in the 2026 Netflix romcom Voicemails for Isabelle, but Crew Girl is his first major leading TV role. But back to the important investigation: his love life. As said, Sam doesn’t appear to be single. Both he and Shanti have shared multiple cute Insta pics together, including snaps on trips away and cosy date nights from their life in Vancouver. Although they haven’t confirmed it, their online presence appears to show they met – or at the very least worked together – on a Vancouver play called Mouse Saw The Scream last year. Shanti is an actress herself, with credits including the short films Expiry Date, The First Dance and Laundry. More recently, she wrote the play The Truth and Darers, which is showing at the Vancouver Fringe.
