The cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has officially kicked off what’s bound to be months of red carpets, premieres and chaotic press tours ahead of the film’s release on 17th July. While everyone else was focused on the star-studded cast, people have been losing it over a seriously wholesome full-circle moment between Zendaya and Anne Hathaway. Long before Zendaya was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, she was just like the rest of us: A huge Anne Hathaway fan. Back in 2014, when she was just 16 years old, Zendaya regularly shared her artwork on Instagram. Before The Odyssey, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway both became global ambassadors for Bulgari, first appearing together in the brand’s viral Unexpected Wonders campaign in 2022. They later reunited for Bulgari’s High Jewelry campaigns before returning again in 2024 for the Eternally Reborn campaign. Via YouTube Their latest collaboration is easily their biggest yet. In Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, Anne Hathaway plays Penelope, the loyal Queen of Ithaca and wife of Odysseus, played by Matt Damon. Zendaya stars as Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom who guides and protects Odysseus throughout his journey.
