Wtaf! The Boys finale details have ‘leaked’, and season five episode eight is going to be gnarly

Apparently one character death just isn't enough

We are speeding towards the climactic conclusion of The Boys, and according to supposed “leaked” details about the finale, season five episode eight is going to be feral.

After five seasons of exceedingly odd superpowers, right-wingers missing the point, and the s*xual exploitation of countless sea creatures (courtesy of The Deep), Amazon Video’s The Boys is about to end. Whether it’s a satisfying end is yet to be seen, but the alleged leaks range from batty to outright insanity.

Massive potential spoilers from this point. 

The Boys finale leaks suggest there’s gonna be a massacre

The supposed leaks, which were put forward on subreddits like r/TheBoysLeaks and r/LeaksAndRumors, have been pretty damn accurate up until this point. They predicted the exact manner of Frenchie’s death, details about Soldier Boy, and numerous other major plot points.

This go around, the leaks have alleged that Homelander will massacre the entire White House on national TV, including a pregnant reporter. The sheer brutality of the scenes forces Oh Father to turn his back on Homelander, which then results in him being literally CUT IN HALF?! Ashley runs away to France afterwards.

Homelander meets his end

If the alleged leaks are to be believed, Homelander will kill Butcher’s beloved dog, Terror, sending our favourite Brit into a meltdown. The drama reportedly culminates in a showdown in the Oval Office between Homelander, The Boys, Ryan, and several of the Gen V kids.

The fight is particularly brutal, the leaks claim, with Kimiko able to strip Homelander of his powers before meeting her end. Butcher is said to then kill his nemesis with a crowbar.

Starlight is thankfully the one to kill The Deep.

Oh god, there’s more

Also in the leaks for The Boys season five episode eight is a storyline from the comics: Butcher going rogue.

Seeking to kill literally every supe on the planet with the virus, Hughie is forced to kill his father figure to stop him.

There are some major contradictions

Though the leaks are spreading like wildfire across the internet, there are a bunch of contradictions that make them hard to follow.

Though some leaks claim Annie kills The Deep, others have suggested that the fishy villain makes it out of the show and will later appear in The Boys: Mexico. Similarly, though Butcher being killed is in line with the comics, other sketchy leaks suggest he’ll survive and be living in Mexico.

At the end of the show, there’s allegedly a montage updating us on the characters, though the exact nature of said montage is drenched in mystery. Some claim that Annie and Hughie will be raising Ryan, and numerous rumours suggest Soldier Boy will make one final apperence to set up the spin-off shows.

I saved the best for last

Though you should always take leaks with a grain of salt, there’s one rumour that is bound to instantly enrage you. You see, some have claimed that Hughie wakes up in a hospital, where he’s been since his girlfriend was killed in season one episode one. Essentially, it was all a dream.

It’ll be interesting to see which leaks are real for The Boys’ finale in season five, episode eight.
