Wicked: For Good looms, and people are remembering this ridiculous Cynthia and Ariana video

Why were they doing all that over a necklace!?

Wicked: For Good is not too far off now – which means only one thing for the culture: The absolute insanity of the Wicked press tour and whatever the hell Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were doing is about to kick off all over again. God love the pair of them, because Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in their time as Elphaba and Glinda have become inseparable and just as dramatic as their on screen personas with their carry on doing press for the films. Literally seems like every interview has gone viral from the start of the Wicked era til now. And don’t even get me started on when we were all holding space. But as Wicked: For Good looms and its press junket is round the corner, people have sent a video of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo faffing over a necklace viral again – and it’s so funny.

What on earth was she even doing?

Because Wicked: For Good is just around the corner, the old video from last year of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande on a red carpet faffing with a necklace has gone mega viral again. In a tweet where the caption simply and correctly says “that necklace did not need any fixing I’m crying”.

In the video, which is just a prime example of the weird Wicked chaos, Cynthia stops the interview to adjust Ariana Grande’s necklace. But the necklace literally looks fine and there’s a load of faffing and then the end result makes the necklace look the exact same as it did before. One quote which has ALSO gone mega viral just says “I see why people thought they were crazy” and that had me laughing I can’t lie.

The pair have gone into detail about their intense relationship, with Cynthia saying that working with Ariana was “really exhilarating – a little bit addictive.”

I can’t wait for the absolute chaos all over again.

But one of the funniest reactions to the Wicked necklace video of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande is this one comparing it to the iconic video of the woman in the funeral parlour “working” but doing literally nothing.

I will laugh about that video til I die.
