The shocking truth of why Jennifer Aniston’s shirtless stalker won’t be standing trial

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle thought Jennifer was going to be his ‘queen’

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, the man the internet dubbed Jennifer Aniston’s “shirtless stalker”, won’t be standing trial after he rammed his Chrysler PT Cruiser through the gates of Jennifer’s Hollywood home, a property that once belonged to Oprah Winfrey.

Jimmy was arrested on May 5 after Jennifer Aniston’s security held the alleged stalker at gunpoint until police arrived to arrest him, but it wasn’t the first time he had pushed himself into her life. From March 1, 2023, until he was arrested earlier this month, Jimmy allegedly harassed Jennifer through repeated social media messages, emails, and voicemails.

Upon arrest, he was charged with one count of felony stalking, one count of felony vandalism, and an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm, all of which he pleaded not guilty to on May 8.

According to The Sun, Jimmy appeared in court again last week, where public defender Robert Krauss revealed that a psychiatrist’s review found him to be incompetent to stand trial. Jimmy was reportedly not happy with this decision, requesting a second expert opinion, which Judge Maria Cavalluzzi granted. Just yesterday, said second opinion came to the same conclusion as the first: Jimmy Wayne Carwyle was “not presently competent to stand trial” over the accusations of stalking Jennifer Aniston.

“It’s not the outcome my client would have preferred,” Robert Krauss told the judge.

He won’t stand trial, but what’s next for Jennifer Aniston’s stalker?

As per the report, criminal proceedings have now been suspended and Jimmy Wayne Carwyle will be put on undisclosed medication ahead of an interest of justice and placement hearing on June 26. Judge Maria Cavalluzzi said that new reports will be produced with an “opportunity to hear from the victim,” though it’s yet to be revealed whether this will be Jennifer Aniston herself or her lawyer.

Though the no competency ruling does suspend the criminal aspect of the Jennifer Aniston stalker trial, with Jimmy Wayne Carwyle set to undergo further testing and evaluation, it is not permanent. Following the hearing on June 26, Judge Maria Cavalluzzi could very well choose to relaunch the criminal trial if Jimmy is found competent.

Jennifer Aniston was meant to be his ‘queen’

Speaking to the MailOnline, Jimmy’s wife Julia Carwyle detailed how her husband believed he was Jesus when travelling to Los Angeles to meet Jennifer Aniston a few months prior to the incident.

“I guess he was speaking with her. He had the impression that Jennifer Aniston and he were going to talk and meet,” she said.”He thought ‘Maybe she’s just going to meet a guy […] to take a chance.’ That’s the way he was thinking.”

She didn’t recognise the man in the mug shot, adding: “It doesn’t even look like him. He’s no longer there.”
