This is where you’ve seen that super familiar house in Netflix’s Back In Action before

It’s been in so many films and TV shows

Back In Action is the biggest film on Netflix right now, an action comedy about two ex-CIA spies who return to espionage after their secret identities are exposed.

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx play the lead roles, Emily and Matt, and the movie marks her return to acting after an entire decade.

At the start of the film, the two spies are asked to obtain an important device from a Polish KBG agent-turned-terrorist at his child’s birthday party.

The party is being held at his grand British house, but why does the home look so familiar?! Well, it’s actually been in loads of TV shows!

It’s called Waddesdon Manor, a French Renaissance-style chateau located in Buckinghamshire that’s been used as the backdrop for some major TV projects.

Here’s where you’ve seen it before.

Bridgerton

Waddesdon Manor was used in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the Bridgerton prequel which aired in 2022 and followed young Queen Charlotte’s marriage to King George of England, an epic love story that transforms high society.

The Crown

You might also recognise it from The Crown as the building was used in season five of the royal drama, which focused on the 1990s and welcomed Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II.

Cinderella

The home was used in the live-action Cinderella film starring Camila Cabello, Nicholas Galitzine and Idina Menzel too. The Palace belongs to King Rowan and Queen Beatrice, played by Pierce Brosnan and Minnie Driver.

Downton Abbey

It’s not the main home in the series, but Waddesdon Manor was used in one episode of Downton Abbey as well. In the show, it’s called Haxby Park and is inititally owned by the Russell family, but they sell it to Sir Richard Carlisle.

A Little Chaos

If you’ve ever seen the 2014 film A Little Chaos with Kate Winslet, the Buckinghamshire house was transformed into the Chateau de Fontainebleau just outside Paris for the film.

James Bond

The inside rooms were also used in the 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again, when Sean Connery takes on Max Largo in the computer game Domination.
