This moment in Carry-On has unlocked a terrifying new airport fear in everyone
It’s left people feeling uneasy while travelling
Everyone is watching Carry-On, a new Netflix thriller set at Christmas that has you on the edge of your seat.
Taron Egerton plays a young airline security guard who is blackmailed into smuggling a dangerous package onto a plane on Christmas Eve.
The movie’s director wanted to make the film as realistic as possible, like it could happen to anyone at any moment.
They’ve certainly achieved that, and there’s one part in particular that has unlocked a new airport fear in everyone.
In the film, the suitcase that contains the bomb is black with a red ribbon tied to the handle, and people can’t stop looking for similar ones at airports.
“Will never be able to go through security peacefully again after watching Carry-On. Always on the lookout for a red ribbon,” one person wrote on TikTok.
Another said: “POV you’ve got to make sure nobody has any carry-ons with red ribbon.”

Ribbons are often tied around suitcases to make them easily identifiable, but the innocent act has taken on a whole new meaning now.
Spotting a red ribbon tied around a suitcase in an airport will leave you feeling super uneasy after watching Carry-On.
In the film, the black suitcase with the red ribbon contains a deadly nerve agent called Novichok which is smuggled onto the plane to assassinate a politician.
Netflix’s Tudum assured everyone that the chemical weapon, which was developed by the Soviet Union in the ’70s and ’80s, couldn’t actually get through security.

“A deadly biological weapon could never make it through airport security without being automatically flagged,” they said.
