These photos of Ariana Grande before and after Wicked show her huge transformation
She looks just as gorgeous as ever
Ariana Grande’s face is everywhere right now once again thanks to Wicked: For Good, but she looks very different than we’re all used to.
Actress Ari is like a totally different person to singer Ari, and she’s had a pretty big transformation since before she started filming the musical.
Here are some side-by-side photos from the years before she was cast as Glinda to now, which show how much the 32-year-old has really changed.

Ariana has addressed comments about her new appearance
Ariana responded to comments about her new look in a TikTok video in April 2023, telling everyone she is now a lot happier and “healthier”.

“I don’t do this often. I don’t like it, I’m not good at it… but I just wanted to address your concerns about my body and talk a little bit about what it means to a person with a body and to be seen and to be paid this close attention to. I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what… just to aim toward being safer and keeping each other safer,” she said.
“The body you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest points of my life when I looked the way you consider my ‘healthy’. But that, in fact, wasn’t my healthy.”
The 32-year-old said we should be “less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies” no matter how good or well-intentioned it is.

Ariana also opened up in an episode of the Oui Oui Baguette podcast, emotionally revealing she’s felt like a “specimen in a petri-dish” since she was 16 or 17.
“So I have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons,” she said. “There’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that [people’s appearance] that I think is really dangerous.”
