The video of Ariana Grande finding out she got the Wicked role is hilariously chaotic

Her dog wanted to be part of the huge moment

After weeks of premieres and press tours, Wicked is officially out in cinemas and it’s getting some great reviews.

The film follows the story of two opposite witches, Elphaba and Glinda, played by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

They form an unlikely friendship at school, but issues soon arise as their lives begin to take very different paths.

Ariana always dreamed of appearing in the Wizard of Oz spin-off, so she was really excited when she got the call.

However, a hilariously chaotic video of the actress finding out she got the role shows the moment didn’t quite go to plan.

In the clip, Ariana is trying to listen to the executive on a video call, but her dog won’t stop barking in the background.

“Toulouse, Toulouse, stop,” she screams while shaking her hands around frantically. That’s the name of her Beagle-Chihuahua mix.

The actress adopted him from an animal shelter in September 2013 and he’s named after the French city from Disney’s Aristocats.

“Toulouse!” she shouts again, almost in tears at this point as she is clearly so nervous, stressed, and overwhelmed.

The dog finally stops barking and the Wicked executive reveals: “We want you to be our Glinda the Good.”

She immediately breaks down in tears and puts her hands over her face in shock, completely speechless.

“I don’t know what to say,” Ariana says. “Oh my god, thank you. I love her so much I’m gonna take such good care of her.”

You can truly tell how much the role means to her, and it’s like Toulouse could tell that too.

“Toulouse could feel her energy change because she was so nervous/excited. My dog does that to me too,” one person commented.

Another said: “Toulouse already knew and was congratulating her!”
