Is Bernie Sanders coming to speak at Yale this weekend?
His campaign has ‘expressed interest’
The Bernie Sanders campaign has expressed interest in holding a rally in the New Haven Green this Sunday.
New Haven’s city parks chief Rebecca Bombero confirmed the Bernie campaign had approached her department for a rally two days before the Connecticut Primary.
She said in an interview with The New Haven Independent: “They have been forwarded the costs for staff time, etc. As long as they meet that cost and any policing requirements, they are granted the permit.”
The rally would be held at 7pm on Sunday, shortly before the Connecticut primary.
