Suspended UW-Madison student Alec Cook pleads not guilty to 21 counts of sexual assault related charges

Cook faces 21 charges from 10 women

Alec Cook, 20, pleaded not guilty to all of the 21 sexual assault related charges he is accused of from ten women Friday afternoon in Dane County Circuit Court.

Cook faces many different charges which include strangulation, stalking, sexual assault, battery, and false imprisonment.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Cooks attorney’s have disputed these claims by saying the assaults either did not happen or were consensual. They also allege some claims were exaggerated such as the stalking and harassment claims.

Cook is free on 100,000 bail and is currently suspended from UW-Madison. He is only allowed in Dane County for attorney visits.
