A list of Christmas gifts every girl will love

Did somebody say “Bath and Body Works?”

Christmas season is rapidly approaching, and you want the perfect gift to show your BFF/sister/girlfriend how much they mean to you. However, if you’re like me, you’re already involved in 4 Secret Santa groups on a college student’s budget. Luckily, there are a ton of gifts that are not only inexpensive, but also are universally loved by the female population. Go beyond the gift-card and get her something you know she’ll love this year.

Fuzzy Socks

They’re cute. They’re simple. They’re cheap. And it seems like you can never have enough pairs! Fuzzy socks might as well be the staple piece to any gift, ever. Bonus points if they’re Christmas themed.

Mugs

The season of gingerbread lattes and peppermint teas is upon us, and so is the season for Christmas-themed mugs! A cute mug is the perfect gift for a college student, especially if it has a special design or handwritten message on it. You can bet when she’s drinking coffee at 10pm trying to stay awake studying for finals, a cute mug will help cheer her up.

Madison Apparel

A girl can never have enough Badger gear. Whether it be a sweatshirt, fanny pack, hat, or mittens, you know she’ll rep the Badgers around campus. It’s an added bonus that you can use your Wiscard to buy it.

Choker Necklaces

Choker necklaces are definitely the latest trend this year, and come in a bunch of different styles. Plus, they’re relatively inexpensive and still make for a perfect gift. Let her embrace her inner 90s kid.

Underwear. Enough said.

Bath Bombs

After months of using a dorm bathroom, there’s nothing a girl wants to do more than to take a nice relaxing bath. Giving a lush bath bomb as a gift is the best way to let her pamper herself. They’re super affordable and they smell like heaven on earth.

Food

TBH, some chocolate or homemade desserts will probably make a girl’s day. It’s winter break, so the calories don’t count anyways.

Water Bottles/Tumblrs

A water bottle or tumblr is a gift you know she would use every day. Whether you get her a cute Swell one or a durable Camelbak one, you really can’t go wrong.

Cute Wine/Shot Glasses

If she’s a Madison student, she will always put wine or shot glasses to good use. You could even pair this gift with something to go inside of them…

Fuzzy Blankets

There is nothing better than wrapping up in a fuzzy blanket and binge-watching Netflix over winter break. A girl can seriously never have enough of these.

Stickers

This may sound like a strange idea, but RedBubble has hundreds of fun stickers that are perfect for personalizing a laptop case or water bottle. Prove how well you know her by getting stickers of her favorite TV shows and quotes.

Anything from Bath and Body Works

Are you even a girl if you don’t own a million random Bath and Body Works products, and still want a million more? There is really no going wrong in this store. Their winter collection candles, lotions, and shower gels literally smell delicious enough to eat.

Scarves

Scarves may be a winter necessity, but they also make the perfect accessory to any outfit! Whether it be a knit infinity scarf or plaid blanket scarf, this gift is cute and cozy.

LYM Hat

Madison winters call for some warm winter gear, but who says it doesn’t have to be cute? Love Your Melon beanies and hats are not only adorable, but also 50 percent of their profits go towards battling childhood cancer. It’s a win-win.

Cards Against Humanity

Cards Against Humanity may be the funniest card game ever invented. No doubt any girl would get plenty of laughs out of this gift.

Pajamas

Aerie and Victoria’s Secret always have a great selection of adorable pajamas, not to mention they’re cozy AF. Sleeping is a college girl’s favorite activity anyways.

Necklaces

You really can’t go wrong with a necklace of her home state, or even a pendant with her first initial. Making the gift a little personal always adds a special touch, and one that she’ll remember whenever she wears it.

Makeup

Nice makeup is probably something she wants, yet would never buy for herself. Hit up the nearest Sephora or Ulta and your bound to find an eyeshadow palette or lip color she will love.

Homemade Picture Frame

Who says you have to spend a lot of money on a present? Homemade picture frames make a great decoration for a dorm room, and have loads of sentimental value. There is nothing better than a goofy selfie of your friends or a super-awkward picture of you two from middle school to show her how much she means to you.

Good luck shopping!
