There is a Mass tonight to remember sophomore John Flanagan

He tragically passed away on Sunday

Villanova sophomore John Flanagan was found dead in his dorm room on Sunday night.

An email was sent out yesterday from the Vice President for Student Life notifying Villanova students of his death. It said: “There are no signs of foul play and we are fully cooperating with local authorities as they further investigate this tragic incident.

“This is a devastating loss to our community, and our hearts go out to John’s family and friends.”

John Flanagan, originally from Staten Island, was a College of Liberal Arts major and he is being remembered tonight at a 7pm Mass at Saint Thomas of Villanova Church.

Numerous students have also been offering their condolences on social media since the tragic event.

The University Counseling Center and Campus Ministry are offering support for anyone who is grieving and wishes to talk with someone.
