A Villanova student has been arrested after filming in Tolentine restroom

A Villanova student was arrested by Delaware County detectives today for illegally recording several videos of students using a restroom in Tolentine Hall.
The Tab has learned that the student, Vincent Kane, is a 19 year-old commuter and has been documented taking video in the same single-stall restroom four times in September and once in April, according to a report by David Tedjeske, Director of Public Safety & Chief of Police for the university.
Kane was charged with possession of child porn, sexual abuse of children, criminal use of a communications facility, and other related crimes after investigators found videos and images of individuals being recorded including a secret “up-skirt” video at his workplace, CVS Pharmacy.
As part of the bail conditions, Kane is barred from Villanova’s campus, is required to undergo a psychosexual evaluation, can not access the internet, or have any contact with minors. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 3, according to the district attorney’s office.
The phone was discovered by a Villanova student on September 22nd and prompted an ongoing investigation by The University’s Department of Public Safety and the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division (CID).
The student, who apparently worked at CVS, has not been allowed on campus since the beginning of the investigation. He now faces several other “serious charges” according to the report issued by Tedjeske.
The university are offering emotional support to anyone that thinks they may have been affected by the incidents.
