Nashville Symphony to accompany Harry Potter screenings

A magical, musical experience to look out for

Drop the heavy book you just opened for the first time to cram for your final tomorrow and get out your calendars because the Nashville Symphony is doing a Harry Potter screening series with live accompaniment!

Today is a great reminder to set these dates aside because today we gravely remember those lost in the Battle Of Hogwarts as May 2nd marks the 16th anniversary for the Wizarding World. Granted, these movie screenings won’t be for some time, but tickets go on sale this July 22 at 10am.

The Nashville Symphony is so close to the Vandy campus, just as Harry Potter is close to all of our hearts. I still remember the exhilaration of waiting in line for the new book or dressing up for those midnight movie premieres. Well Vanderbilt, even though the story has ended, we have a new opportunity to wave our wands proudly as we watch the first two films with that epic soundtrack being blasted, classically, right in front of the screen.

“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be on Jan. 6 and Jan. 7 of 2017.

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” will be on May 19 and May 20 of 2017.

Magic and music will be in air, wafting through the Nashville streets! Can’t miss opportunity for muggles, squibs, witches, and wizards alike.
