He was on a trip with the University

Taylor Force, 29, a member of the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University was fatally stabbed today in Jaffa, Israel, near the city of Tel Aviv.

Force was on a trip with Vanderbilt in order to “expand his understanding of global entrepreneurship” according to a statement released by Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos.

Force was one of 10 victims in an attack carried out by a man identified as a Palestinian according to USA TODAY.

As released by Fox News, the attacks were carried out within few hundred meters of Vice President Biden, who was meeting with former Prime Minister Simon Peres in Tel Aviv.

It was also reported that Force was collecting money for a charity at the time.

Vanderbilt has lost not only a student but a friend and integral member of the Vanderbilt community.
