Media Studies professor arrested for possession of child pornography
Professor Walter Korte teaches History of Film and Cinema as an Art Form
Yesterday morning, the Charlottesville Police Department arrested UVA Media Studies Professor Walter Korte on the charges of possession of child pornography.
Since, the Professor of History of Film and Cinema as an Art Form has been placed on administrative leave by the university and is being held in Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.

Korte has been the Director of Film Studies within the drama department at UVA for 46 years and advisor for the Virginia Film Festival for 26.
