I made this list mostly because I just can’t handle going out in the cold and I’m sure a lot of you can’t either.
Instead of either acquiring an alcohol blanket, or bundling up and risking losing your coat in Trin, try some of these alternatives.
Late night dumplings at the lawn
One of my favorite memories at UVA is from a late night during my first year. My friends and I stopped by Marco and Luca on the corner, each got some dumplings, then went to the lawn to sit and eat.
Only at UVA can you sit around eating dumplings as drunk, naked people run past you and have it not be completely weird.
Order campus cookies
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Why leave your apartment when they will BRING. COOKIES. TO. YOU.
Do the sunset hike
Humpback is really freaking cool.
And even if you’re bad at hiking, you can at least have the pictures forever.
Make dinner with your friends
Dinner dates with your friends are actually so much fun.
Plus you save money on eating out.
Go get a cookout milkshake and watch a movie

Skype your parents (they miss you!)

Go to a basketball game
I may have absolutely no idea what’s going on but it’s a fun way to support your school and hang out with your friends (while random boys throw peanuts at your friend who fell asleep on you – looking at you, Anna).
