UVA Football finally hires new coach

Bye Mike, hello Bronco

After six years we are finally welcoming a new coach into our football lives.

Was it the excessive painting of Beta Bridge that did it? Who knows, but let’s give a big Wahoo welcome to…

Bronco Mendenhall. Coming to us after 11 years at BYU, his record is 99-42 during his time as head coach.

At BYU, Mendenhall managed to score 10, I repeat, TEN, back to back bowl invitations, two conference champs AND maintain a national top-25 ranking.

“Professionally and personally I seek to embrace the highest standards in college sports, on and off the field, and I love the high standards both academically and athletically at Virginia.

“I am excited to not only help provide the continual growth and development of the student athletes academically but also reestablish Virginia as a consistent winner with a fiercely competitive and winning product on the football field,” Mendenhall said.

Well, with a 9-3 season so far, we can’t really complain about this one! Let’s hope Beta bridge stays kind to you.

Hopefully he can give us the turnaround that UVA football NEEDS.
