UT Austin rises another two places in most prestigious schools ranking

We ranked higher than Brown, Dartmouth, and Texas A&M

As if we needed reminding how great UT is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 100 most prestigious universities in the world.

The study, which judges the universities with the best reputations across the planet, placed us at 32nd. Keep in mind there are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.

Beating our place of 34th last year, we also came ahead of rivals like Texas A&M, who barely cracked the top 100, and Oklahoma, who wasn’t even on the list. On top of that, we even placed higher than Ivy League schools Brown and Dartmouth.

Harvard, MIT, and Stanford all took the top spots for another year running.

The Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings are created using the world’s largest invitation-only academic opinion survey, and targets only experienced, published scholars for their opinions. Times Higher Education is known as the world’s most authoritative source of information about higher education.
