BREAKING: Vehicle fire on Exposition Blvd between Vermont and Figueroa
The fire is not on campus
A vehicle fire on Exposition Blvd was reported at 4:15p.m. between Vermont Ave and Figueroa St.
An initial alert from the university urged students to stay away from the scene, and that the fire was on the UPC campus.
A few minutes later, another alert was sent to students to confirm that the fire is not on the UPC campus, but is instead on Exposition Blvd right outside of campus. Students are still urged to stay out of the area.
The fire department is on the scene.
The roads are also impacted with heavy traffic, as is the Exposition metro line, which is running about 15 minutes behind schedule.
