‘SANCTUARY CAMPUS NOW’ banner unveiled in Campus Center

Despite USC already being a sanctuary campus

On Thursday afternoon, students unveiled a large brown sign readingĀ “SANCTUARY CAMPUS NOW” over the second story of Ronald Tutor Campus Center, hanging over Seeds.

The Undergraduate and Graduate Student governments have already voted to make the university a Sanctuary Campus after a petition circulated following November’s Presidential election. In addition, Mayor Eric Garcetti has remained adamant that Los Angeles will remain a sanctuary city even after President Trump’s threats to halt federal funding for noncompliant cities.
