BREAKING: Stuho allows Element tenants to break contract

The housing project will not be ready to move in until the end of October

Stuho, the leasing office in charge of the Element housing project, has given tenants the opportunity to break their contract with them for the school year.

Although tenants signed leases with August move-in date, Element has remained under construction. Tenants have been housed downtown at DaVinci Apartments, more thanĀ four miles away from campus.

In an email sent tonight to all tenants, Stuho has given tenants interested in breaking ties with themĀ the option to sign a Termination Agreement by next Thursday, September 29th at 5pm. If submitted, leasing obligations will be rescinded by October 31st. Students will be required to search for their own alternative housing after breaking their contract.

“We prefer to keep you as residents of Element, and we know you will be impressed and like the finished product, but we are also cognizant of the fact that some of you may simply be unwilling to remain at Element, and we respect that,” says the Stuho contract.

Stuho currently has an average of 1.5/5 rating on Yelp, out of 66 reviews.
